Samiam are gearing up to release Stowaway, their first new album in 12 years, and today the Oakland, CA punk legends are sharing another single from the record, "Something."  The new song follows previous singles "Monterey Canyon," "Crystallized" and "Lights Out, Little Hustler", and the uptempo new track wastes no time in providing the big guitars and big hooks that Samiam excel at.

Guitarist Sean Kennerly discussed the lyrics of "Something" saying:

"The light perkiness of the music is belied by the heavy subject matter—searching for meaning and reason inside of everyday actions. It’s about faking it just to get through yet another ridiculous interaction you don’t feel like you belong in. The Buzzcocks-style hammering chords underpin Jason soaring vocals as he searches for an elusive feeling of relevance and purpose inside the everyday."

Due out March 31st via Pure Noise Records, Stowaway picks up right where Samiam left off with all of the energy, melody, and pathos of their classic work, proving exactly why the group are still one of the most endearing and enduring punk bands of their generation.
