We are happy to premiere 'Far From Yesterday,' the new single by Wes Hoffman and Friends. You can pre-save the single HERE. 'Far From Yesterday' follows the release of lead single 'What's Left Of Me' back in March. And with plenty more new music coming soon, it looks like Wes Hoffman is back after having taken a hiatus from music for a couple of years.
About the song:
“This is a song about letting go of the past. As the chorus states “when you just can’t get far from yesterday, try not to get in your own way.” When you’re holding onto the past, try not to let it keep you from moving forward. This is something I struggled with as well. It’s also about moving on, finding yourself again, starting over, and trying not to lose yourself. Sometimes we wish things in our past were different, and it’s difficult to let go of that, but trying not to let that keep us from living our best lives now.”
An active member of the St. Louis and Midwest punk scenes in the early 2000s, Wes Hoffman took a hiatus from music for several years before coming back into the fold. In 2017, after a few musical collaborations with drummer Justin Unterseh, Wes decided he couldn’t keep the music bottled up anymore and began releasing songs again. With a passion for punk beats, loud guitars and a penchant for honest, emotional lyrics, Wes is back with his friends and ready to share his most meaningful songs in 2021.
