We are happy to premiere the video for 'Sinking,' the new single by Louisville, KY emo punks Drying Out. After going through some member changes and taking the time to find the sound that best suits them, the band - which consists of Aaron Cottner (vocals, guitar), Alexander Hoagland (vocals, guitar) Justin Cottner (drums) - are now ready to show everyone what they have in store. Highly recommended if you are into Balance & Composure and the likes.
About the new single:
"Sinking is a culmination of dealing with my depression and anxiety for about 13 years. I’ve been constantly battling suicidal thoughts since I was 13 and never quite understood why I felt like that. It's about being in a room with loved ones and still hearing the voice inside my head telling me I should give up, nobody likes me here. Sinking talks about having constant panic attacks in social situations and trying to hide it from everyone else in the room so you’re not the “freak”. It’s a very self-deprecating song that I wrote at some of my lowest points. Music has always been my outlet with dealing with my depression and I just want my lyrics to resonate with somebody who is struggling with their own battles."
