We are very happy to share ‘Switter Beat,’ the new single by Ohio’s indie-punks Delay. It is the first single to be taken off the band’s first LP in seven years, ‘Songs For Money,’ which will be out Spring 2022 on Salinas Records (pre-order).

“Unknowingly, Switter Beat was the first song written on "Songs For Money." Originally, it was for some solo sets that Austin was playing, but it was clearly a Delay song from the start. The song’s tone reflecting on relationships past fit right into the Delay catalogue and planted the seed to write the album.” - Delay

Formed in 1997 by twin brothers Austin & Ryan Eilbeck with life-long friend Jesse Wither, these indie-punk troubadours of the 00s DIY punk scene were most active between 2005 and 2014 without ever calling it a day. Which is why ‘Songs For Money’ can be seen as a homecoming. With straight ahead, upbeat pop punk songs like "Switter Beat," it might escape you that any time has passed since you stood shoulder to shoulder in a midwest basement singing yourself hoarse with Delay. The big hooks, harmonies and heart-on-sleeve lyrics they're known for, are all still there.
