We are very happy to premiere the video for Barking Poets’ new single ‘When The Bands Are Gone,’ a song that sees the London-based melodic punk rock band address the crisis that music venues are currently going through as a direct result of the Covid-19 pandemic and gentrification, two factors that already tore down half Denmark Street, London’s music epicentre.

‘When The Bands Are Gone’ is the latest song to be taken off the band’s upcoming EP, ‘Back To Abnormal,’ out Oct 1 via Engineer Records. The EP also features the band’s soul-lifting debut single ‘Make Me Strong’ and 'When I Am King'. It was produced by Paul Tipler (Idlewild, Reuben, Elastica, Placebo) at Stereolab’s studio in London.

Started in 2019 by four experienced musicians from London, Bristol and Dublin, Barking Poets takes influences from the likes of The Clash as well as The Gaslight Anthem to then mold them into something all their own.
