Recently, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley posted a photo of himself in the studio to the band’s official Facebook Page. “I go to work,” he said in the caption. Whibley, who we know has been writing new music for a while, also posted a photo of himself and guitarist Tom Thacker jamming together. Does this mean the band are working on a new album? Hopefully we can give you a final answer soon.

This past May, Whibley was in the hospital for a month due to liver and kidney failure from chronic alcoholism. The singer/songwriter appears to be doing much better now.

Sum 41 released their most recent album, Screaming Bloody Murder, in 2011 via Island Records.
