Finnish melodic punks Custody have announced a European tour, their first with new drummer Antti Pekkanen who joined in the Summer of 2021. Also joining are their buds in Distants, who hail from the Midwest. The tour was originally planned for 2020 in support of their latest full-length, but… you know, Covid. Never ones to give up, they endured two more harsh Finnish winters and are now gearing up for their first proper tour in 4 years. The tour kicks off in Germany, before continuing in Holland, Belgium, France, Switzerland and Italy, all leading up to the Booze Cruise festival in Hamburg.

About Distants (US):

Since 2016, Distants have been trying their hand at the emotive punk sound that defines Midwest DIY. They aren't trying to reinvent the wheel but with dueling shredding guitars - courtesy of Alex Angus and Mynor Gonzalez - they offer a fresh take on a familiar style of basement dwelling punk-rock. Drummer Steve Brewer keeps time behind Zach Leipham’s massive bass tone. All of that along with a signature gruff vocal style combines as a backdrop for deeply heartfelt lyrics that were made for arm-in-arm, beer-soaked singalongs among buds.
The band has and continues to tour on their 2017 demo and two self-titled EPs released in 2018 and 2019 on vinyl via Salinas Records. (Tyler Dykema)
