Bones Shredder, the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Randy Moore, today shares new song "Pulling Teeth," the darkly melodic third single off his forthcoming debut album Morbid Little Thing, due September 19 on Moore's own Sunken Teeth Records.

Originally written in 2019 while Moore was living in Southern California, “Pulling Teeth” is the oldest song on the record, rescued from a long-shelved demo and reshaped with the perspective he’s gained in the years since. It's tight and hooky, with lyrics that bite, hinting at the album’s thread of horror-tinged imagery while locking into the power-pop pulse that defines Morbid Little Thing.

"The song is about trying to navigate through a one-sided relationship," says Moore. "Extending yourself, trying to appease the other person, while getting nothing in return. Originally, this song was for a band I was going to start before the pandemic happened. For one reason or another it didn’t pan out, leaving me with a couple of songs sitting on my laptop. I thought this song deserved a second chance and I’m happy to share it today."

Recorded in a two-week sprint at District Recording Studio in San Jose with producer Henry Chadwick (Teens in Trouble), Morbid Little Thing blends Moore’s love of '70s AM pop, punk grit, and horror-tinged imagery into tightly wound anthems. Though Bones Shredder is primarily a solo endeavor, Moore enlists brother Dylan Moore on drums, and Sim Castro and Nick O’Connor on keys.
