No idea why these guys didn’t climb to the valhalla of rock with “Hello Master” but it didn’t happen. Guess it’s just one of those things. Luckily, these Cannucks didn’t leave it like that and are reaching for the stars once again with their axes on album number two, “Prior To The Fire”.

With a solid mix of traditional heavy metal and hardrock, these guys squeeze every last decibel they can muster out of their amps to let the barrage of riffs be heard in the loudest way possible. Over it all are Mikey Heppner’s vocals which are just hoarse enough yet still sound mighty powerful. Sounds pretty good so far huh? So why am I not giving this album as high a score as I gave their debut? Because this time around the compositions are a tad bit less catchy and while it still sounds very good, the songs just aren’t as memorable as the last time. If however you simply want to rock the fuck out with your air guitar, then Priestess is here to satisfy all your needs.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
