Candy Hearts is the first band to work with Chad Gilbert’s label, Violently Happy Records, which he started under the Bridge Nine umbrella. On top of that Gilbert produced the band’s EP and if it is anything to go on, both the band and the label should warrant a lot of fun in the future.

This female-fronted pop-rock band dishes out some cutesy songs about being heartbroken and ticklish. It’s all very innocent and comes with a high Dawson Creek vibe but it’s well done, especially on the song “Miles And Interstates” and the ridiculously catchy “Ticklish”.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
