Comeback Kid’s eighth studio album, Chosen Hell, is out today via SharpTone Records in the U.S. and Dine Alone Records in Canada. The band has now shared the official music video for focus track ”Shedding Season,” featuring Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox.
“‘Shedding Season’ is about peeling back the stress, drama, and pain that we’ve been carrying on through life with,” says singer Andrew Neufeld. “It’s about the specific or period in life where the decision is made to set ourselves free from harmful weight that we have lived in up until that point. It is about defining that moment and feeling confident in the choice to move forward leaving it behind. We were fortunate enough to get Courtney LaPlante from Spiritbox to guest on this song and she crushed it. It is a back and forth, ‘me against you’ type of lyrical narrative between Courtney and I. Her voice is untouchable and her guttural yell screams volumes of passion in this song. ‘Losing you was a solid win.'”
