Brooklyn/Salt Lake City-band LAPÊCHE is excited to share the new music video for “Double Knotted,” a standout single featured on their acclaimed new album, Autotelic, out now on Tiny Engines. The video arrives ahead of the band’s upcoming co-headline tour with Endearments, which kicks off on December 5 in Minneapolis. The tour will include stops across the Midwest and Northeast and including shows in Chicago, Philadelphia, New Haven, Brooklyn, and more.
“Double Knotted” pairs hypnotic alt-pop rhythms with introspective, enigmatic lyrics, exploring the tension between personal boundaries, resilience, and finding balance amid uncertainty. Choreographed by the band’s Krista Holly Diem, the “Double Knotted” video overlays multiple layers. One up close and almost static, the others almost dancing together but mostly colliding. It’s motion without clear direction, no single one acknowledging another.
On the song, Krista Holly Diem adds, “This song is about grounding yourself in the midst of chaos, finding balance amid uncertainty and motion. It’s not about achieving perfection or gaining control, it’s about persistence and presence.”
