Austrian punk powerhouse DeeCRACKS are back with their new album, True Nothing, out now via Pirates Press Records. Packing a whopping 18 tracks, the record clocks in at just under half an hour.

That leaves little room for expansive arrangements or self-indulgent solos. Not that anyone was looking for them on a DeeCRACKS release anyway. Instead, the band tears through all 18 songs, whittled down to pure Ramonescore perfection with buzzsaw guitars, infectious choruses, and sharp melodic leads. Coming in at just shy of three minutes, “Next To No One” practically qualifies as an extravagant rock opera compared to everything around it.

Once again produced by Chris Fogal (The Gamits), DeeCRACKS sound sharper and punchier than ever on True Nothing. If you’ve heard lead singles “Hell Today”, “Next To No One” and “I Don’t Wanna Drag You Down,” you know exactly what to expect. Even better? Those tracks aren’t the exception. They set the benchmark for the entire LP.

Underneath the poppy hooks, however, it isn’t all sunshine and bubblegum. The band sounds noticeably angrier than before on cuts like “In The Red,” confronting struggles with mental health, daily burnout, and strained relationships with raw, unfiltered bite.

Yet no matter which demon they are confronting, DeeCRACKS channel that frustration into pure, three-chord catharsis, making True Nothing an infectious, melodic joy from start to finish.
