Glam-rock-meets-power-pop band The Dreaded Laramie returns with a new single, “Clinical Hypnosis,” an ode to giving up and getting insurance to pay for hypnosis sessions. Produced, mixed, and engineered by Dave Schiffman (Grammy winner with credits including PUP, Olivia Rodrigo, Weezer), “Clinical Hypnosis” features additional vocals from Lizzie Killian (of Teens in Trouble) and Hannah Eagle (of Bat Boy), and a guest guitar solo by Randy Moore (of Bones Shredder). The song is out now via Smartpunk Records.
“I had a bad summer and I coped with some wacky stuff,” says songwriter/lead guitarist M.C. Cunningham, “like trying clinical hypnosis and amateur witchcraft. Unfortunately, those fixes didn’t help. What did help, weirdly, was accepting the situation and giving up. Turns out giving up kinda rocks.”
