“This World Is Dead” is the name of this French band’s third album and they sound more than willing to provide the soundtrack to the apocalypse. It’s their first album in seven years and it’s a doozy! With a scalding mix of grindcore and death metal, these guys tear their way through the first 24 songs in a little over half an hour only taking their foot of the gas at the end of the album with the doomy 7-minutes-long “Trail Of The Dead”.

It’s a bit much to take in all at once but I have to say that these guys managed to keep me interested throughout the entire album with lightning speed riffs and a crushing rhythm section and just the right amount of diversity… something the genre isn’t exactly known for.
