Contrary to what their name might suggest, Denmark’s Forever Unclean is not a crustpunk band. Instead, this trio describe themselves as a hardskate/indiecore outfit, which is a first for me but it definitely suits them. And judging from the songs that make up “Float”, what originally started as a fun project in between tours for the members of Stars Burn Stripes could very well become their main focus.
Opening track “Dinosaur” opens with a short intro, before letting loose with a sweet riff, a fun bassline and abrasive vocals that go into one helluva catchy chorus. They then continue to make your smile even wider with the remaining three songs which reminded me of other gruff pop-punk bands like Gnarwolves and the likes. Good stuff.
