The Bay Area’s The Re-Volts - whose lineup consists of Spike Slawson (Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Swingin’ Utters, Uke Hunt), Jack Dalrymple (One Man Army, Swingin’ Utters, toyGuitar), Paul Oxborrow (toyGuitar) and Colin Delaney - have a new 7” out via Pirates Press Records. They have been around since 2007, but went dormant for a decade after the release the release of their self-titled EP. They are back now though. And how! ‘Leeches’ is already their third single in less than a year.

This one comes with three short songs including garage-y A-side single ‘Leeches,’ the 77-styled ‘Metropolis Or Bust’ and the band’s take on pop standard ‘Love Letters’. Because, you know... we never heard Spike sing a cover before. Nothing too extraordinary, just three fun tunes

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
