On the band’s third album ‘Haze Wave,’ Dutch indie meets post-pop punks (yes, that’s a thing) Lone wolf once again deliver a dozen deliciously tasty songs. Sweet, but not too sugary. Punchy, but not aggressive. Melodic, but not… no wait. No but there. Just very, very melodic.

If you are already familiar with Lone Wolf’s previous albums, 2018’s self-titled debut and 2019’s ‘Together Alone’, you know what you’re in for. And if you don’t, think Martha and you’re in the ballpark. From opening track and lead single ‘Begging Me’ until the final notes of the title track ring out, there’s this positive energy radiating from every single song. I can’t say if it’s the bouncy rhythms, the driving guitar lines or Merel and Ox’ vocal harmonies. Let’s just assume it’s the sum of its parts.

Haze Wave track list:

  1. Begging Me
  2. Ready To Break
  3. Meet Me In The Middle
  4. Stay Home
  5. Easier Now
  6. Too Many Reasons
  7. Dark Times
  8. Under The Stars
  9. Don’t Wait Up For Me
  10. Wide Awake
  11. Terrible Heartache
  12. Haze Wave

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
