Running over the tracklisting, we learn that these Dutch dudes are a bunch of freaks who like to fuck their life away while not sleeping at night. Their message is brought to you wrapped in a punky rock ‘n roll vibe that brings back memories of FEAR, The Dead Boys and The Stooges. And listening to “Fuck My Life”, I figured I could namedrop Danko Jones as well just for the hell of it.

The Local Spastics come with a fierce rhythm section, some tasty guitar licks and a vocalist whose shouting can go from pissed off to something that could be described as soulful in a matter of seconds. The lyrics still leave some room for improvement though. At the moment they consist of little more than a bunch of fucks, fuckers and fucking’s strung together. Is it original? Far from it. Is it fun? It sure is.
