Ever since forming in 2013, Australia’s Laura Palmer have been working their asses off. They’ve already toured Australia, the US (including two stops at The Fest) and Europe and played with everyone from Off With Their Heads and Frenzal Rhomb to Paper Arms and The Slow Death.

Following up on last year’s debut EP, these Aussies just released a new 4-song EP. “Old Souls” finds them cranking out more tuneage that has as much to do with Jawbreaker as it does with Iron Chic. Gruff vocals that you want to sing along to, bouncy rhythms and catchy hooks over distorted guitars is the kind of goodness that we like over here. Make sure you check out the slightly more restrained EP highlight “Undecided” so you can swoon over it.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
