Shoegaze has been making a comeback for quite a while now and Kindling is one of many bands that seem to have spent quite some time staring at their shoes, before deciding they could do this themselves as well. On their EP “Galaxies”, they meet all of the genre requirements going from the hugely fuzzed out guitars to Gretchen William and Stephen Pierce’s melodic yet barely audible vocals.

They might need to introduce some more variation when the time comes to record a full-length, because let’s face it… all four of the songs on here sound basically the same. But it’s a good tune and Kindling seem to know what they’re doing. So for now, it’ll do just fine.
