On album number five, these horror punks out of Phoenix, AZ are at it again with a new batch of tunes. We all know that for every horror flick with an original story, good acting and lots of gore, there are about a hundred movies with none of those elements. The same goes for horror-punk albums and unfortunately this one falls in the second category.

The intro is downright dreadful (not in a good way) with nothing more than 90 seconds of woohoo’s thrown around over pounding drums and a not so good riff. The title track sounds like it’s been done a million times before. That actually goes for most of the songs on here… from the melodies to the Danzig-like vocals, you’ve heard all of this a million times before. “I Wanna Be A Vigilante” even comes with a chorus that is so sappy that would have bands like Bon Jovi or Journey going ‘dude, this is just too much’.

In short, “Born With A Scorpion’s Touch” has about as much bite as a toothless zombie.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
