If a band is called All Pigs Must Die, you pretty much know what to expect. This outfit boasts current and former members of Converge and Hope Conspiracy, two outfits that don’t exactly write country music either.

“Nothing Violates This” comes with überheavy riffs a la Entombed and couples it to the speed and aggression of hardcore. It makes for a heavy as fuck album that rages by. Even when they do occasionally slow down for a second, they manage to still sound heavy and gloomy at the same time. “Primitive Fear” for example is pretty damn groovy and in “Of Suffering” they even whip out an acoustic guitar. The only downside is that Kevin Baker’s hardcore bark is a little too monotonous at times when compared to the layered instrumental parts. Other than that, “Nothing Violates This” is the perfect soundtrack for all your demolition jobs.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
