“Dedication”. 10 Songs in 18 minutes of no-frills melodic hardcore meets skatepunk. This one flies by and if you blink once, you’ll probably miss a song or two. It’s technical, melodic, heartfelt and a fitting tribute to bassist Brian Peters, who sadly passed away in October 2013, just one month shy of his 29th birthday.

Eight of the songs on here are tributes to Peters, one is addressed to Peter’s girlfriend and the last one is addressed to his parents. The band does a beautiful job of just laying all their feelings out there. Musically, they don’t beat around the bush either and attack every single song with all the energy they can muster. Not a single part on here is unnecessary and not a single line feels forced.

It’s sad that the inspiration for this album came from such a tragic event, but they can honestly say they did their friend justice with an album that is nothing but life-affirming. Fans of No Trigger, A Wilhelm Scream will gobble this up.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
