It’s 1979 and a very pregnant Beth and her fiancée Cameron are crossing the Aussie outback to celebrate Christmas with Beth’s family. They pull over for the night at some dingy motel and when Cameron returns after going into town for a spell, he finds Beth missing. Hey wait, haven’t we already seen this movie like a zillion times before? Well yeah, at least the first part but that is before things get batshit crazy!

While Cameron gets manhandled by the local sheriff, Beth wakes up in a bathtub full of ice and finds out she lost the baby but gained a nice C-section scar. She stumbles around a warehouse and quickly realizes she’s not the only woman there… there are other would-have-been-moms! And a psycho killer! And dogs! And someone who’s watching all the action! That’s quite a lot of people for a place that’s supposed to be abandoned.

The movie is quite fun to watch even if there isn’t an original idea in sight… the acting is above-average, writer/director James Rabbitts gave this flick a nice vintage touch (that stands in stark contrast to the crappy computer animation that keeps coming back) and you want to know how the story plays out. It kinda derails towards the end though… logic be damned!
