We caught up with Canadian punk rockers Trashed Ambulance to talk about the band’s upcoming release on Thousand Island Records, “A Dime For Every Time”. Here’s what singer/guitarist Josh had to tell us.

PRT: How on earth did you come up with the name Trashed Ambulance?

Josh: One time I was riding a unicycle on PCP and came across a fire truck in mint condition. The name seemed so obvious after that.

PRT: Can you sum up the band’s history in the form of a tweet?

Josh: Musicians who love beer occasionally replaced by other dudes who love beer ripping off Fat Wreck bands. #2trashed2furious

PRT: For people out there who haven’t heard you yet… if Trashed Ambulance was the lovechild of two other bands, which bands would have had sex and which position were you conceived in?

Josh: Face To Face riding No Use For A Name reverse cowgirl with Lagwagon videotaping.

PRT: You have a new EP out called “A Dime For Every Time”. You’d be rich if you got a dime every time you…?

Josh: We uttered the words "Not drinking again for a long time"

PRT: How did you end up with Thousand Island Records? And what is one thing about label owner Bruno you feel people should know?

Josh: Bruno offered us endless garbage bags of cash. One thing you should know is that Bruno is actually Mark Zuckerberg.

PRT: If you would dream big, what would be the biggest thing you’d like to achieve with Trashed Ambulance?

Josh: I think we'd like to perform live on Family Feud but only if they bring Louie Anderson back.

PRT: And what do you think the highest attainable goal is?

Josh: We wanna sell enough cds so Bruno doesn't send his goons to bust up our knee caps.

PRT: What’s up next for you guys once “A Dime For Every Time” is out?

Josh: We have more songs that could be heard and shows that could be played. Check out our Facebook / Instagram to keep up!

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
