Because The Fest is without a doubt one of the best festivals around, we thought it would be a fun idea to do short interviews with ten of the bands contributing to this year's punkrock mayhem in Gainesville, FL. First up is Go Rydell!

PRT: What’s your favorite Fest venue to play in and why?
Chris: We have only played two so I would go with 1982 because they have vintage nintendo games and the sound is really good there; however, we are really looking forward to be playing at the Laboratory this year.

PRT: Fest-bands play house shows, parking lot shows and hotel room shows. What's the most outrageous place you ‘ve ever played a show? And on
that same note… where would you never want to play a show?

Chris: We were initially going to play a show in a storage unit with (what I remember) Make Do and Mend, Shook Ones, and my mind just draws a large blank after that; however, a very friendly cop (no sarcasm) allowed the bands to play and finish their sets.  Unfortunately, a snotty kid decided to throw a brick through the cops window potentially ruining house and warehouse shows for fest goers.  That kid could fall on a knife for his selfish acts.

PRT: Name one thing Fest is missing. "Groupies" is not a valid answer.
Chris: Band-aids.  Fest honestly is not missing anything in my opinion.  At least nothing that jumps  to my mind but I do feel that Tony and the Fest
staff do the best possible job for a three day organized event that I have ever witnessed.  Static Radio at Fest 12 would be a treat.

PRT: What’s the one thing you need at Fest?
Chris: Water!

PRT: What's the best thing about the Fest?
Chris: The Fest.

PRT: What sucks about the Fest?
Chris: Getting sick without question after having the time of your life.

PRT: On a scale from 1 to 10... With 1 being Lindsay Lohan and 10 being Charlie Sheen... How hard will you party and how do you plan on doing that?
Chris: Lindsay Lohan would be at 1?   Fuck, uhm.... I guess because the dudes in Go Rydell are getting old, have careers and school maybe a solid 8?

PRT: Why should people come see your band out of the zillion other bands at the Fest?
Chris: Our introduction music this year before our set. That is all... Actually, no one should watch us because an awesome Canadian band by the name of Carpenter is playing roughly around the same  time as us. They are cuter, better musicians and goddamnit we love their tunes.

PRT: Name one artist that should really/never play The Fest. Why?
Chris: Gwar! Why? Go Rydell wants to be stage props. Reason? Blood is awesome. Really? No, not really I kind of get nauseous around it; however, the fake stuff rules. Gwar 4 Lyfe.

PRT: For those out there wanting to meet Tony… can you describe him in one sentence?
Chris: I met him via drunken stumble and he had a black eye so I did not ask questions and walked away. This year I plan on partying with him somehow, someway.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
